I’m keeping a closer eye on the market after seeing futures take a step back. Dow futures dropped around 200 points as investors weighed rising Treasury yields, higher oil prices and growing concerns about how much room stocks really have to keep climbing. The S&P 500 and Nasdaq futures were also pointing lower. What catches my attention is that this comes after a strong run in stocks. When valuations are already elevated, even a small shift in yields or investor sentiment can create a much bigger move. I’m watching $SPY, $QQQ and $DIA closely to see whether this turns into a normal pullback or something more serious. I’m not panicking, but I’m definitely not ignoring the warning signs either.
