Overview of four quantum computing stocks to watch right now
With major AI labs talking about slowing down development due to safety concerns, quantum computing is getting more attention. The sector is still early but has heavy US government backing. Here is a quick breakdown of four stocks in the space.
IonQ (IONQ) is currently leading in accuracy. They use a trapped-ion method to hit 99.99% fidelity and are buying up their supply chain, including their own foundry to scale faster.
Quantinuum (QNT) is backed by Honeywell and also uses trapped ions. They are known for their software ecosystem, including their open-source language Guppy and the TKET development kit.
Infleqtion (INFQ) uses a neutral-atom approach instead of charged ions, which allows for higher qubit density. They already generate revenue selling sensing tools to the US and UK governments.
D-Wave (QBTS) focuses on quantum annealing, a tech already used commercially in logistics and finance. They recently acquired Quantum Circuits and are trying to build faster gate-based systems.
