Rocket Lab launches first 8 satellites of $143M deal with MDA and Globalstar
Rocket Lab (**RKLB**) successfully launched 8 satellites for MDA Space (**MDA**) and Globalstar (**GSAT**). This is the first batch of a 17-satellite constellation from a $143 million deal.
They confirmed all 8 are in orbit, generating power, and working normally. The satellites will provide direct-to-device communication and IoT services. RKLB built the platforms in-house at their California headquarters.
