Firefly Aerospace announced a new contract with the Defense Innovation Unit and Space Development Agency. They're working on a preliminary design review for a mission to clear out old satellites using their Elytra spacecraft. Once this review is completed, Firefly can compete for the actual launch and operations phase. The company also noted they have a separate space domain awareness mission on contract for 2027.
