NuScale Power (SMR) reported Q2 earnings with an EPS loss of 13 cents, matching estimates. Revenue fell to $0.1 million, down 98.8% from $8.1 million last year and missing the $1 million expectation. The drop is mostly because their engineering work for the RoPower project wrapped up late last year, leaving a gap in current revenue. Expenses were up across the board. R&D rose by $6.6 million as they invest in reactor designs and commercial deployment. They still ended the quarter with $766.5 million in cash. Operationally, they are negotiating a power purchase agreement with the TVA and advancing their Romania project with Nuclearelectrica.
