Is Inflation the Biggest Risk to This Bull Market?
The market keeps pushing toward record highs, but there’s a growing concern that inflation could become the biggest threat to the rally. Tariffs, higher energy costs, and the massive spending tied to AI are all putting pressure on prices, while sticky inflation could make it harder for the Fed to ease policy. With and still near record levels, do you think inflation could finally force investors to rethink these valuations, or will strong earnings keep the bull market going?
Inflation could definitely become the market’s biggest problem if it stays sticky. Strong earnings can keep stocks supported for a while, but higher rates and expensive valuations leave less room for mistakes. I’d be watching inflation and Fed expectations closely.
good point emma, i think energy giants like Shell might benefit but the rest of the market could really struggle. it's a tough balance for the central banks for sure.
