A 2% yield could still be worth a look

Investors looking for a mix of income and growth are turning to S&P 500 stocks with reliable dividends and strong businesses behind them.
A roughly 2% yield may not sound huge, but dividend growth and long-term capital appreciation can make the total return much more compelling.
Would you rather own a steady dividend payer like or chase higher-yielding income stocks?

A 2% yield can still be attractive if the dividend grows steadily and the business compounds over time. I’d take quality and growth over chasing yield alone.

that makes a lot of sense. companies like Apple have shown that a smaller yield plus growth really adds up over the years.
