Is American Express a good buy?
earns around 20% ROE and the stock is up around 50% in two years. Also, it's such a big flex to own platinum card, so I'm thinking that more people will try to get that card. This will help increase the company's revenue too. Is it a good buy?

Good brand, but it already feels pricey and depends a lot on people spending more.

Amex is solid because people actually spend on the card, not just flex it. The question is whether you’re buying a great business or overpaying after a big run.
