Royal Caribbean Group Raises Dividend to $1.00 Per Share
just declared a quarterly dividend of $1.00 per share, a 33% increase over its prior dividend (which was $0.75 I guess). The dividend is payable October 13, 2025, to shareholders of record as of September 25, 2025. The jump is pretty good but it's still far from ideal.
I think it’s pretty decent given that it has a strong shareholder yield: dividends plus buybacks. So if we look at returns beyond just dividends it’s actually pretty good!
Royal Caribbean’s earnings outlook has improved thanks to strong bookings, especially high-end itineraries and private island destinations. Rising profitability gives more confidence in continuing dividend increases.
Cruise industry is recovering well from the hit that the pandemic brought. But that comes with a risk that it isn’t a risk-free stock.
