Space sector gaining traction as ASTS and LUNR look to follow SpaceX

SpaceX (SPCX) just had the largest IPO in history and got added to the Nasdaq-100, along with Rocket Lab. With the space sector going mainstream, AST SpaceMobile (ASTS) and Intuitive Machines (LUNR) are being looked at as potential future additions to the index. ASTS is working on direct-to-device satellite internet to compete with Starlink. They have telecom partnerships lined up but keep pushing back their timeline. They are now hoping to launch their service in early 2027. LUNR is focusing on moon logistics and infrastructure. They pulled in $206 million in revenue last quarter and expect over $1 billion by 2026. Both stocks are high risk but could see upside if their tech and timelines pan out. Blue Origin was also mentioned as a shoo-in for the Nasdaq-100 if they ever decide to go public, given their current $140 billion private valuation.

Space is clearly gaining momentum. ASTS and LUNR still have plenty to prove, but the potential is interesting.

Intuitive Machines has some impressive revenue numbers recently. I am curious to see if they can maintain that growth while building out moon infrastructure.
