PepsiCo drops 14% over six months, dividend yield hits 4.3%
PepsiCo recently raised its quarterly dividend to $1.48 per share, bringing their annual yield to 4.3%. The company has now increased its payout for 54 consecutive years.
The stock is down about 14% over the past six months. During that same time, competitors like Coke, Keurig Dr Pepper, and Monster gained at least 13%. Because of this recent drop, PEP is trading at a lower valuation than most of the large-cap beverage sector. It has underperformed the S&P 500 over the last decade, but the consistent dividend growth and current markdown might make it worth a look.

PEP’s 54-year dividend streak stands out, but the recent underperformance shows the market still wants stronger growth.
