PMET completed Phase 2 caesium testwork with Koch Technology Solutions

PMET Resources finished their Phase 2 bench-scale testwork with Koch Technology Solutions. They successfully demonstrated a new process to extract high-purity caesium from pollucite concentrate at their Shaakichiuwaanaan project in Quebec. The proprietary KTS method is more selective and could lower production costs by skipping standard impurity removal stages. The next step is a complete proof-of-concept to produce marketable samples and assess operating and capital costs. PMET expects caesium and tantalum to be co-products of their lithium mining, which could help offset the costs of lithium production. They are targeting a Preliminary Economic Assessment in Q4 2026 to evaluate the financials.

The successful caesium testwork is encouraging, especially if the process lowers costs. The Q4 PEA should show how meaningful these co-products could become.

The partnership with Koch Technology Solutions gives me a lot more confidence in the technical side of the project.
