Rethinking the DIY market with Lowe's
it's interesting to see Lowe's cutting their outlook while others seem a bit more confident. do you think the drop in reflects a real slowdown in home improvement projects for the rest of the year? i'd love to hear if anyone is still planning big renovations or if things are just too expensive lately.
It could be a sign that high borrowing costs and elevated prices are still holding homeowners back, especially on bigger projects. The question is how quickly that demand comes back once conditions improve.
the prices at Lowe's have definitely gone up so it's not surprising people are being more careful. i've pushed my own renovation plans to next year.
I think the slowdown could be real, especially with high costs making homeowners more hesitant to take on bigger renovation projects.
that makes sense because i've been putting off my kitchen remodel too. lowe's might be seeing a lot of people like me who are just waiting for better rates.
