Axsome (AXSM) and Moderna (MRNA) are showing some progress in their pipelines that might make them decent long-term holds. Axsome's Q1 revenue was up 57% year-over-year to $191.2M, but their operating loss widened to $63.4M. They have a deep pipeline and the FDA just accepted their application for a narcolepsy treatment. Management expects the portfolio could eventually reach $18B in sales. Moderna's Q2 revenue was $145M, up 2% from last year. The EPS loss improved slightly to $1.97. An FDA panel just backed their new flu vaccine mFLUSIVA, so approval is likely. They are also running trials for a personalized cancer vaccine to help offset the drop in COVID vaccine sales.
