Redwire (RDW) up 13% on new military drone and DARPA spaceplane contracts
Redwire (RDW) is up about 13% today after securing three new contracts over the last few days. The company started as a pure space play but expanded into drones recently after buying Edge Autonomy for $925 million.
That acquisition seems to be showing results. They just booked a $15 million deal with the US Army for Stalker surveillance drones, plus a separate multi-year contract worth tens of millions to supply Penguin Mk3 drones to an unnamed NATO ally.
They also secured a DARPA contract as the prime contractor for the Otter program to develop low Earth orbit spaceplanes. They are bringing on Voyager Technologies (VOYG) as a subcontractor to handle the acceleration measurement systems for the project.

i'm curious to see how their work with the us army develops over time. do you think Redwire will keep focusing on both space and drones equally?
