i noticed Apple had a solid day recently and it makes me wonder if the upgrade cycle is finally kicking in. what are your thoughts on hitting these levels based on the services growth?

Apple’s strength usually comes from services stability more than hardware cycles. If services keep compounding, it helps support these levels even without a huge iPhone upgrade boom.
