Anthropic launches Claude for Small Business, SaaS stocks sliding on AI fears
Anthropic just announced Claude for Small Business, letting users plug their AI into existing apps like QuickBooks, DocuSign, and Microsoft 365. They've been pushing hard into enterprise, launching legal and financial services versions recently too.
This push into enterprise AI is making Wall Street nervous about traditional software vendors. SaaS stocks like CRM, NOW, INTU, and DOCU have been taking a hit lately as investors worry AI companies will replace them. Anthropic's CEO even mentioned that some SaaS companies could go bankrupt if they don't keep up with the shift toward AI.
Anthropic is also eyeing an IPO later this year. Their 2026 revenue run rate climbed to $30 billion, up from $9 billion last year. They also doubled their $1M+ annual spending customers to over 1,000 in just two months.
