Quantum computing looks like the next tech play after AI

Analysts are pointing to quantum computing as the next big tech trend, with commercial viability expected around 2030. McKinsey thinks it could be a $72 billion annual market by 2035. Big players like NVDA, GOOG, and MSFT are already building out capabilities, but smaller pure-play companies might offer more upside. Two names getting attention are IonQ (IONQ) and D-Wave (QBTS). IonQ is currently leading with its ion trapping tech and just reported a 429% YoY revenue increase. D-Wave is taking a more specialized approach using quantum annealing to focus on optimization problems. Since early-stage tech is risky, keeping exposure low around 1 to 3% of a portfolio makes sense.

Lowkey feels like early AI all over again, crazy upside but still hella speculative. IonQ growth is wild tho, might be worth a tiny position just to ride the wave.
