Overview of three high-yield dividend stocks: FRT, EPD, and ARCC
Overview of three high-yield dividend stocks: FRT, EPD, and ARCC
Read an article highlighting a few high-yield dividend stocks, which is relevant right now since the S&P 500 is only yielding about 1.1%.
Federal Realty (FRT) yields 4.1%. They own about 100 properties, mostly strip malls and mixed-use spaces in high-income areas. They are the only REIT with Dividend King status and have raised their dividend for 58 straight years.
Enterprise Products Partners (EPD) is a midstream pipeline MLP yielding 5.7%. They charge fees for moving energy, which protects them from direct commodity price risks. They have 27 years of distribution increases and a comfortable 1.7x cash flow coverage.
Ares Capital (ARCC) is a BDC yielding 10.5%. They make high-interest loans to smaller businesses. It comes with more risk and the dividend has been volatile in the past, so it is better used for supplemental income.

honestly, 58 years of raises for Federal Realty is just wild. that kind of history makes me really consider adding some to my long term portfolio.
