AI needs power. Power needs gas.
AI needs power. Power needs gas.
popped 6.58% after record exports and a bigger buyback, and I’m just trying to connect the dots here.
Cheniere Energy shipped 670 cargoes last year (46M+ tons), beat its EBITDA and DCF guidance, and is guiding up to $7.25B EBITDA in 2026 with more Corpus Christi capacity coming online.
They also boosted their buyback authorization to over $10B through 2030. For a $35B market cap, that feels… kind of aggressive? In a good way?
They even locked in another long-term deal with CPC Corporation through 2050.
Maybe I’m overthinking it, but while everyone’s laser-focused on chips, the energy infrastructure layer seems interesting too.
Not saying it’s the move just feels like it’s not getting the same hype.
