Midstream energy ETFs are outperforming standard income plays with 5-7% yields

Midstream dividend ETFs are looking interesting right now compared to standard income stocks. The pipeline and storage operators run on volume-based fees, so they aren't as exposed to daily oil price swings. Some specific funds worth looking at: * **AMLP:** Pays the highest yield at 7.73% but has a high expense ratio of 0.85%. It pays quarterly and holds big names like Energy Transfer. * **UMI:** This one pays monthly and yields 5.65%. It is actively managed and mixes MLPs with C-corps. Up about 12% in the last month. * **MLPA:** Good choice if you want lower fees (0.45%). Yield is 7.28% with a similar portfolio to AMLP but a more efficient structure. Generally seems like a decent sector for income since US energy volume is high right now.

energy transfer has always been a solid pick for income so it's nice to see it featured here. those yields are really hard to beat right now.
