Musk claims autonomous dominance while Chanos critiques Lemonade deal
Musk said Sunday that Tesla will have the largest autonomous fleet as far as he can see. They are currently running Robotaxi trials in Austin. The article mentions competition heating up with Waymo and Nvidia. On the insurance side, Jim Chanos is criticizing the Tesla partnership with Lemonade for FSD coverage. He argues that for full self-driving to be real, the manufacturer needs to bear the liability rather than the insurer.

Big talk from as usual. Robotaxi could be huge if it actually scales, but Chanos has a point. Real autonomy means Tesla owns the risk, not passing it to or anyone else. Until liability shifts, it’s still more hype than dominance.
