Overview of solar sector growth and key company updates

Goldman Sachs expects global solar installations to rise 57% by 2030 due to data center demand and falling costs. A recent industry overview highlighted a few key players. First Solar (FSLR) is focusing on thin-film panels which handle heat better than silicon. They have a backlog of 54.5 GW and expect to end 2025 with over $1.6 billion in net cash. Brookfield Renewable (BEP) pays a 3.5% yield. They plan to transition solar to be their majority production source and are targeting 10% annual FFO growth through 2030. Enphase (ENPH) has shipped over 86 million microinverters to date. They are currently expanding into battery storage and EV chargers. Array Technologies (ARRY) saw 65% year-to-date revenue growth in Q3 2025. Their acquisition of APA Solar allows them to offer integrated tracker and foundation systems. NextEra (NEE) is aiming for 35% solar generation by 2034 through its Florida Power & Light subsidiary.

brookfield renewable always seems to have a solid plan for their dividends. a ten percent growth target through 2030 is quite ambitious but exciting for investors.
