He said if they don't disrupt themselves, someone else will. This was the main driver behind merging Google Brain and DeepMind to pool compute resources for training models like Gemini. He also touched on Isomorphic Labs, which is using AlphaFold to move drug discovery to computer simulations. They expect to hit clinical trials by the end of the year.
