Rigetti is trading down more than 60% from its 2025 highs. The company has good processing speed with its 108-qubit system but is lagging on accuracy. Their median fidelity is 99%, while competitor IonQ is hitting 99.99%. Commercial viability requires much higher accuracy and scale (around 1 million qubits), so the industry is still in the early stages. Rigetti plans to reach 1,000 qubits by 2027, compared to IonQ's target of 10,000. It seems like a risky hold right now unless they can significantly improve fidelity. Diversifying across the sector might be safer than picking a single winner.
