Motley Fool's take on IonQ and D-Wave Quantum
Motley Fool's take on IonQ and D-Wave Quantum
Motley Fool looks at the quantum computing space, noting it is high risk with potential for bankruptcy or buyouts before products are commercially viable.
They like IonQ (IONQ) for its error reduction capabilities using trapped ion qubits, though processing speeds are slower than competitors.
D-Wave Quantum (QBTS) is the other pick. They use quantum annealing which targets optimization problems for AI and logistics, rather than trying to be a general-purpose quantum computer.
The main point is that both stocks have high potential upside but could also go to zero. They suggest a quantum ETF if you want to avoid single-stock risk.

honestly it is hard to ignore the upside potential here even with the bankruptcy risks mentioned. ionq seems to have the tech but the slow processing speed makes me wonder about their long term lead.
