INKT starting grant-funded Phase 1 trial for GvHD
INKT starting grant-funded Phase 1 trial for GvHD
MiNK Therapeutics is initiating a Phase 1 trial for their cell therapy, agenT-797. They are testing it in stem cell transplant patients to prevent graft-versus-host disease (GvHD). The trial is investigator-led at the University of Wisconsin.
The funding structure is worth noting since it is supported by an NIH grant and a private clinical trial award. This means the trial is non-dilutive to shareholders. The treatment is off-the-shelf and does not require lymphodepletion (chemo) beforehand.

the fact that mink therapeutics doesn't need chemo beforehand sounds like a huge advantage for patients. hope the phase 1 results look promising.
