Roundup of the current self-driving car market and top stocks

Self-driving tech is moving from R&D to reality. Vehicles with advanced driver-assist are rolling out, impacting cloud computing, EVs, and semiconductors. **Alphabet:** Waymo is a top player with over 2,000 driverless cars in its US fleet. They recently expanded to Baltimore, Pittsburgh, St. Louis, and Philadelphia. **Amazon:** AWS manages data for automakers. Their subsidiary Zoox launched driverless robotaxis in Las Vegas and San Francisco in late 2025. They aim to start charging for rides in 2026. **Tesla:** They launched an invite-only taxi service in Austin in June 2025 and secured permits for ride-hailing in Texas. A new FSD model and Cybercab are expected in early 2026. **Chips (Nvidia, Qualcomm, Micron):** Nvidia leads in computing, but Qualcomm is growing with its Snapdragon platform. Micron expects self-driving cars to be a top growth driver for memory chips. **Legacy Auto (GM, Ford):** GM stopped funding its Cruise unit in late 2024 to focus on driver-assist for personal cars. Ford shut down Argo AI back in 2022 but continues to develop its BlueCruise hands-free system. It is a high-growth area, but volatility and valuations remain a risk.

Lowkey wild how fast this is moving 😭 sounds bullish but also kinda messy. No idea who actually wins yet, just watching for now.
