NFE up 9% after S&P upgrades credit rating out of default

NFE up 9% after S&P upgrades credit rating out of default

New Fortress Energy jumped nearly 9% on Wednesday to close at $1.22. The move came after S&P Global upgraded the company's credit rating to CCC- from Selective Default. While this moves them out of default status, the new rating is still on the lower end and indicates vulnerability. S&P noted the company remains dependent on favorable business conditions to meet its financial obligations. They also adjusted ratings on some specific secured loans and notes.

Credit ratings still do affect pricing a lot. Definitely a key factor to always keep your eyes on.
