Verizon to cut 13,000 jobs after subscriber losses
Verizon is laying off about 13,000 employees, which is their biggest cut ever. Most will be direct layoffs, and some will shift as corporate stores move to franchises. This comes after losing 7,000 postpaid phone customers last quarter, while T-Mobile and AT&T keep gaining. New CEO Daniel Schulman is slashing costs to try and reverse the trend. Other big companies like Amazon, UPS, and Target are also cutting jobs lately, a lot of it tied to tech, automation, and tough competition.

Verizon laying off 13k people is rough. Feels like a big reset, now we can only see if it actually helps.
