I’m not a dividend investor but I do own dividend stocks for diversification - particular Canadian bank stocks trading in NYSE and Nasdaq. 

Based on some reading, I shortlisted 3 stocks with stable and generous dividend potential.

- Johnson & Johnson $JNJ

Has been putting a lot investments to R&D for it’s long term strategy as well as strategic acquisitions. 

Dividend yield: 3.4%

- British American Tobacco $BTI Its been diversifying into new categories, experiencing a solid top-line growth and attracts millions of consumers with non traditional tobacco/nicotine products. 

Dividend yield: 10.2%

- Philip Morris $PM 

 Leads in on smoke-free products, achieving high organic profit growth with debt reduction.

Dividend yield: 5.6%
