MarketPlays Daily Roundup: April 12
Hi folks,
Here's some highlights from today:
Stocks Rise, Bond Yields Fall After Inflation Data
Stocks initially rose after the release of the Federal Reserve's March meeting minutes, but then fell back, with the Dow Jones giving up most of its 200-point gain. The CEO of Nicholas Wealth Management, David Nicholas, stated that markets have been too opportunistic, as the Fed won't pause until the fight against inflation is over. The Dow Jones ended down 0.1%, while the S&P 500 and Nasdaq Composite lost 0.4% and 0.9%, respectively.
Top Dog: (+114.60%) National CineMedia's stock price has nearly quadrupled in two days, as the company's bankruptcy filing was offset by an upbeat revenue outlook.
Decliner: (-29.68%) VBI Vaccines continues downward trend following cost cutting measures and restructuring plans.
