Yesterday was rough ngl.
Hot CPI print came in at 3.8%, oil pushed past $100, and the market just said nope. dropped 13%, down 8%, even gave back 3.6% after literally being up 53% last month. Semis got cooked.
But this morning feels different. up 2% premarket, up 2%, bouncing almost 6%. The whole is up 2.2% before the bell.
Apparently Jensen Huang jumped on Trump's China trip last minute and met with Xi. Nobody saw that coming. Now everyone's hopeful about an H200 deal and the AI trade is back on.
Look I'm not gonna pretend I called the dip I didn't. But watching semis bounce this hard after one red day is kind of wild to me.
Inflation is still a thing, Fed cuts are probably not happening this year, oil is all over the place. A lot of uncertainty out there.
But every time this sector dips it gets bought back up. Make that make sense ðŸ˜
