What's the biggest lesson you got from dividend investing?

For me, it's just being patient. I had a time in my life where all I thought about was yield, but now I'm way more into the growth and if it's consistent. Idc about anything surface level anymore.

That investments are supposed to be boring, monotonous and bland. There won’t be crazy returns or upsides and that’s ok.

That small portions add up. It may seem small but it isn’t.

For me it’s more of “out of sight out of mind”. Dividends are not visible as direct returns so it doesn’t catch my attention and I’m less likely to think I’ve hit my goal: and I’m more likely to stick with it.
