Why do we always chase 10x underdogs but hesitate on “easy” 1–2x plays like Alphabet Inc., Amazon, or Nvidia?

After earnings, honestly looks stronger than people expected. The whole “search is dead” thing didn’t really happen, and their AI stuff is actually working. A lot of people I know believe the $10T idea… which is still like 100% upside.
But they still don’t buy. Always waiting for a dip, or something “better.” Is this just anchoring bias or what
Why is it so hard to just go with the obvious winners?

Pretty much, mix of anchoring and boredom. Big winners feel “too obvious,” so people hunt for 10x stories instead, even if the odds are worse.

it's definitely the fear of missing out on the next big thing. amazon is still growing so much but people want that 10x return overnight.
