Norway's sovereign wealth fund bought $200M of IonQ and other quantum stocks

Norway's sovereign wealth fund disclosed new positions in the quantum sector according to their latest filings. They picked up about $200 million worth of IonQ, along with smaller stakes in Rigetti Computing ($39 million) and D-Wave ($4 million). Wedbush analysts noted this is interesting because big institutional money has mostly stayed on the sidelines for quantum stocks until now. IonQ seems to be the main focus here. They have been acquiring companies lately, including a $1.8 billion cash and stock deal for SkyWater Technology to handle manufacturing. They also bought Skyloom Global and Seed Innovations to help with networking and software. Management said they expect to hit the high end of their 2025 revenue guidance. The average analyst price target is sitting at $75.50 right now.

that's a huge move by norway's fund. seeing them put so much into IonQ definitely makes the quantum sector look more serious now.
