Earnings recap: S&P 500 holding up, but Kyndryl and MicroStrategy take big hits
Most of the S&P 500 has reported Q4 results now and things look decent. Earnings growth is tracking at 13%, largely driven by tech companies. However, there were some major moves in individual names this week.
* **Kyndryl** plummeted 42% after delaying their 10-Q filing and announcing the CFO is leaving.
* **MicroStrategy (MSTR)** dropped 17%. Bitcoin volatility hit them hard, resulting in a $12.4 billion net loss and $8.9 billion in unrealized crypto losses.
* **Monday.com** fell 14%. They beat earnings and revenue estimates, but the guidance was weaker than Wall Street wanted.
* **Estee Lauder (EL)** dropped 10%. They beat estimates but tariff issues are weighing on the stock.
* **Peloton (PTON)** is down 9%. Revenue missed expectations and subscriptions dropped 7%.
* **On Semi (ON)** fell 7% after missing earnings estimates and providing weak guidance.
* **Chegg (CHGG)** dropped 5%. They beat Q4 estimates slightly but Q1 revenue guidance came in light.
* **Reddit (RDDT)** rose 6% after issuing a better-than-expected revenue forecast linked to AI ad tools.
* **Toyota (TM)** is up 2% after beating operating income estimates and announcing a CEO change.
Cleveland-Cliffs and Shell also missed some targets but saw smaller moves.
