Solventum to Acquire Acera Surgical for $725 Million, Expanding into Synthetic Tissue Matrices
Solventum (NYSE: SOLV) is making a $725 million cash acquisition of Acera Surgical, a company specializing in synthetic materials for regenerative wound care. This move expands Solventum's MedSurg portfolio into the rapidly growing synthetic tissue matrices space, a $900 million U.S. market. Acera is projected to generate $90 million in sales in 2025. On an adjusted basis, the deal is expected to be slightly dilutive to EPS in 2026 but accretive by 2027. Solventum is using cash on hand to fund the transaction, with closing expected in the first half of 2026, pending customary approvals. The acquisition is part of Solventum's ongoing business transformation strategy.
