Barrick Gold Stock Surges Amid Record Gold Prices, Outperforming Peers

Barrick Mining's stock is up nearly 28% in the past month, outpacing both the S&P 500 and its gold mining peers. The main driver: gold prices hitting all-time highs, fueled by trade tensions, tariff fears, and expectations of a Fed rate cut. Barrick’s big growth projects like Goldrush, Fourmile, Lumwana, and Reko Diq are on track and should support future production, though 2025 output will dip due to a suspended mine. The balance sheet looks strong—$4.8B cash, rising free cash flow, and a buyback program. Dividend yield is 2.1% with a sustainable payout ratio. The hitch: costs are rising and annual production guidance is lower year over year. Despite margin pressures and short-term output declines, upward earnings revisions and an attractive valuation make Barrick worth holding for those already in. Gold’s rally is helping profits, but cost control is something to watch.

Not right now since it has already soared over 25% which is honestly mad impressive, but definitely in near future.

It's good to see. Though it is solely linked to how well or badly Gold performs, the good think is that risks aren't much trivial apart from political turmoil in Mali maybe. So I am bullish on it.
